The Mares Technopolymer lever height tool can be used to adjust the lever height of the Mares Akros and Nikos second stage regulators.
 
With the second stage pressurized, check the ideal position of the demand lever using the height gauge. Slide the gauge along the casing over the lever—it should make contact without triggering airflow. If necessary, adjust by tightening or loosening the demand lever locknut until the correct height is achieved.
 
You can use the recessed slot on the opposite side to verify the poppet seat setting to make sure the connector’s protrusion measures 3.8mm, as specified in the service manual.
