This Sherwood SR series first stage diaphragm cap retainer tool is used to open and close the diaphragm retainer cap from the Sherwood SR series first stage.
 
Place the tool over the diaphragm cap and press it down until you feel it grips the cap all the way around. You can now open and close the diaphragm cap using the stainless steel handle. Be careful not to use too much force when closing as this can damage the plastic diaphragm cap.
 
The tool is precision machined from Acetal with a stainless steel grip.
